A Journey's End: A Tale of Adventure and Friendship

Dear Valiant Heroes of Storm-WoW,

 

As the sun sets on our cherished realm, we gather here one last time to embark on a different kind of adventure, one filled with memories and emotions that have woven the tapestry of our virtual lives. The time has come to bid farewell to our beloved World of Warcraft community, but let us do so with hearts full of gratitude and fond recollections.

 

Our server has been more than just a digital world; it's been a canvas upon which we painted the colors of our imaginations. It's been a realm where we found not only pixels and quests but the laughter of friends and the thrill of adventure. It's been a place where we've forged bonds that transcended the boundaries of our screens, and where countless tales of heroism and camaraderie unfolded.

 

Remember when you started your journey here? The excitement, the anticipation, the endless possibilities awaiting you? The countless dungeons you conquered, the epic battles you waged, and the quests that challenged your wits and courage? My friends, these moments serve as the building blocks of our shared story.

 

But it's not just the quests and battles that made this journey special; it's the friendships that blossomed along the way. The late-night raids, the guild meetings, the whispers of strategy and camaraderie - they are the true treasures we've unearthed in this virtual world. The laughter, the banter, the shared victories and defeats - these are the feelings that have made our time here truly unforgettable.

 

As we close this chapter and venture forth into new realms, remember that the memories and friendships forged in this digital world are as real as any in the physical world. Carry them with you, and let them serve as a reminder that the bonds we've created transcend the pixels and servers. Our adventures here may be concluding, but the stories we've written and the friendships we've nurtured will continue to thrive.

 

In the end, it's not the pixels that define our journey, but the people we've shared it with. So, let us raise our virtual swords and shields one last time, to salute the countless moments of fun, adventure, and friendship that this world has bestowed upon us. Farewell, dear heroes, and may your future adventures be as epic as the ones we've shared.

Dear Stormers,

 

In order to give a boost to our population and also give existing players the possibility to experiment with new classes and races, we have decided to revamp the Level Up package in the Shop's Character Features section.
Starting today, all new accounts will receive 200 Vote Points that will allow them to boost their character to level 80, and receive by in-game mail 5000 gold and 500 Emblems of Valor that can be exchanged for PvP/PvE gear at the Horde and Alliance vendors in Dalaran. Note that portals to Dalaran exist at the entrance of every capital city, or you can use the Teleport Hub to easily travel there.

- This is a limited time offer!

 

Be advised: It is not permitted to abuse this system! A maximum of 3 accounts per player are allowed.

Devlog #2

When a community grows, it's normal for people to start asking questions about content, development, vision etc.

One of the most recent debates we had was regarding the difficulty of END-GAME PvE encounters. A few players considered it was too high for the average Joe.

That's why I thought it was necessary for me to shed some light on this part of our vision.

 

As you all know by now, Storm-WoW takes a unique approach to story telling, by combining the no-grind elements of a fun server, with the professionalism and seriousness of a Bizzlike one.

So when we refer to most of our in-game content, we call it Stormlike.

 

When we built this world, we knew that we won't support any patch/expansion progression, so we needed to make sure that the end-game WotLK experience stays fresh and challenging for a longer time.

The way we did this, was by tuning the encounters in such a way that you'll have to retrain yourself in order to successfully tackle them.

Maybe it will come as a shock to you when you wipe in Heroic FoS, PoS, HoR or when you struggle to get passed Professor Putricide in ICC.

Keep in mind that only the strong become true Stormers, so you'll need to prove your iron!

 

And as you may have noticed, no update of ours comes without a surprise.

Starting today, Cross-Faction Battlegrounds are enabled on Strom-WoW, so you can never stop fighting!

Devlog #1

Now that it has been 3 months since our relaunch, we wanted to take some time and talk about the gameplay changes, fixes and the general direction in which Storm-WoW is heading.

As you can also see in our changelog, we've been quite busy with bug squashing, but at the same time we've added some fun elements suggested by players.

 

In our quest for perfection, we decided to take a phased approach in pushing out content, with Phase 1 being tied to the actual relaunch and recalibration of the server core, web services and the general attractive-fun elements that Storm-WoW is known for.

In this regard, we got some amazing feedback from our amazing community members which translated in over 150 fixes and changes. Some of the most notable are:

 - Improved the Icecrown Citadel dungeon (an unique implementation that will suprise you)

 - Improved the Ruby Sanctum dungeon (you’ll be delighted Wink)

 - Improved the Trial of the Crusader dungeon

 - Redone parts of the Ulduar dungeon, with some more tweaking following in Phase 2

 - Fixed the DK's Dancing Rune Weapon spell

 - Fixed some annoying stuck in combat bugs

 - Fixed some class exploits/bugs

 - Recalibrated the Anticheat system to better detect hackers

 - Added a tournament style 'Ready Check' in arenas, in order to shorten the time until the fight starts

 - Added the Instance Reset NPC

 - Added the Gambler NPC

 - Added DP-VP Converter NPC

 - Improved the user friendliness of the website

 

Going forward with Phase 2, we'll be concentrating on fixing quests and on the release of the ToC 5 dungeon (fingers crossed!).

 

Well, that's all folk… Wait, there's more!

In celebration of entering Phase 2 of development, the Storm-WoW Lottery is active once more with epic prizes for those lucky Stormers.
